Abstract
An approach is provided that receives a correlation data structure from a memory. The correlation data structure indicates a number of expected test event triggers that correspond to a test case that includes a number of test events. The test case is executed by a computer processor, the execution resulting in one or more resultant data structures stored in the memory. The resultant data structures indicate one or more actual test event triggers that occurred during the execution. The expected test event triggers are compared to the actual test event triggers. If the comparison reveals one or more mismatches, a trigger mismatch notification is provided to a user of the computer.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving a correlation data structure from a memory, the correlation data structure indicating a plurality of expected test event triggers corresponding to a test case that includes a plurality of test events;
- executing the test case with a computer processor, the execution resulting in one or more resultant data structures stored in the memory, wherein the resultant data structures indicate one or more actual test event triggers that occurred during the execution;
- first comparing the expected test event triggers to the actual test event triggers;
- and
- in response to the first comparison revealing one or more mismatches, providing a trigger mismatch notification, wherein the trigger mismatch notification indicates the one or more mismatches resulting from the first comparison.
A computer program product in a computer-readable storage medium comprising functional descriptive material that, when executed by a computer, directs the computer to perform actions comprising:
- receiving a correlation data structure from a memory, the correlation data structure indicating a plurality of expected test event triggers corresponding to a test case that includes a plurality of test events;
- executing the test case with a computer processor, the execution resulting in one or more resultant data structures stored in the memory, wherein the resultant data structures indicate one or more actual test event triggers that occurred during the execution;
- first comparing the expected test event triggers to the actual test event triggers;
- and
- in response to the first comparison revealing one or more mismatches, providing a trigger mismatch notification, wherein the trigger mismatch notification indicates the one or more mismatches resulting from the first comparison.
A data processing system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- at least one memory associated with the one or more processors;
- and
- a set of instructions contained in the at least one memory, wherein the one or more processors executes the set of instructions to perform actions of:
- receiving a correlation data structure from a memory, the correlation data structure indicating a plurality of expected test event triggers corresponding to a test case that includes a plurality of test events;
- executing the test case with a computer processor, the execution resulting in one or more resultant data structures stored in the memory, wherein the resultant data structures indicate one or more actual test event triggers that occurred during the execution;
- first comparing the expected test event triggers to the actual test event triggers;
- and
- in response to the first comparison revealing one or more mismatches, providing a trigger mismatch notification, wherein the trigger mismatch notification indicates the one or more mismatches resulting from the first comparison.
