Abstract
Methods, systems, and products monitor athletic performance. Location information is acquired that indicates a device is in movement. A level of difficulty associated with the location information is retrieved and associated to a distance traversed during the movement. The distance traversed and the level of difficulty are stored in a database.
Claims19
A method of monitoring athletic performance, comprising:
- acquiring location information that indicates a device is in movement;
- retrieving a level of difficulty associated with the location information;
- associating the level of difficulty to a distance traversed during the movement;
- and
- storing the distance traversed and the level of difficulty in a database.
A system for monitoring athletic performance, comprising:
- a processor executing code stored in memory that causes the processor to:
- acquire location information that indicates a device is in movement;
- retrieve a level of difficulty associated with the location information;
- associate the level of difficulty to a distance traversed during the movement;
- and
- store the distance traversed and the level of difficulty in a database.
The system according to claim 9, wherein the code further causes the processor to retrieve topographical information associated with the location information.
The system according to claim 9, wherein the code further causes the processor to determine a distance traversed during the movement.
The system according to claim 9, wherein the code further causes the processor to determine a velocity of the movement.
The system according to claim 9, wherein the code further causes the processor to ignore the movement when the velocity exceeds a maximum velocity.
A computer readable medium storing processor executable instructions for performing a method, the method comprising:
- acquiring location information that indicates a device is in movement;
- retrieving a level of difficulty associated with the location information;
- associating the level of difficulty to a distance traversed during the movement;
- and
- storing the distance traversed and the level of difficulty in a database.
