Abstract
Quercetin, 18 α-glycyrrhetinic and/or hederagenin and/or their derivatives are used as anti-aging and/or whitening agents for the topical treatment of skin. Methods for testing the anti-aging and whitening properties of these compounds are disclosed.
Claims23
Use of quercetin, 18α-glycyrrhetinic acid and/or hederagenin and/or their derivatives in a composition for the topical treatment of skin having anti-aging and/or whitening properties.
Use of quercetin, quercetin caprylate, 18α-glycyrrhetinic acid and/or hederagenin and/or their derivatives in a composition for improving the morphology of diploid fibroblasts and for promoting whitening of melanocytes cells in human tissue.
A method for testing the anti-aging properties of a compound for the topical treatment of skin, wherein the compound is added to a culture of diploid fibroblasts.
A method for testing the whitening properties of a compound for the topical treatment of skin, wherein the compound is applied to a culture of melanocytes.
A method for testing the whitening properties of a compound for the topical treatment of skin, wherein the tyrosinase expression is determined.
A method for testing the whitening properties of a compound for the topical treatment of skin, wherein the compound is applied to a culture of melanocytes and wherein the tyrosinase expression is determined.
