Connector mounting structure

A connector mounting structure for mounting at a specified mounting position (R2) of a mating member (R), comprising:

• a support (30) including a base (31), first and second opposed restricting pieces (32) extending from the base (31), the restricting pieces (32) having inner surfaces facing one another and outer surfaces facing away from one another, first and second projections (34) projecting respectively from the outer surfaces of the first and second restricting pieces (32) at locations spaced from the base (31), front and rear locks (35F, 35R) formed at opposite front and rear ends of each of the restricting pieces (32) at locations spaced from the base (31), a mounting piece (33) extending substantially transverse to the first and second restricting pieces (32) at locations in proximity to the front ends of each of the restricting pieces (32);
• and
• a connector (10) including a connecting portion (14) loosely movably mounted on the mounting piece (33) of the support (30), first and second inner walls (26A) facing the inner surfaces of the respective first and second restricting pieces (32), first and second deflecting pieces (11B) facing the outer surfaces of the respective first and second restricting pieces (32), front and rear auxiliary projections (20F, 20R) formed on each of the inner walls (26A) and aligned respectively with the front and rear locks (35F, 35R) at positions between the respective locks (35F, 35R) and the base (31) and disposed to contact the locks (35F, 35R) in response to an inclination of the connector (10), a restricting hole (11C) formed in each deflecting piece (11B) for engaging the respective projection (34).
