Abstract
A method for creating flames, wherein combustible powder material is injected into a gas stream (120) and the dispersed mixture of powder and gas is ignited and discharged through a nozzle (124). An arrangement suitable for implementing the method is also disclosed.

A method for creating flames by a flame-thrower arrangement, characterized in that combustible powder material is injected into a gas stream (120) and the dispersed mixture of powder and gas is discharged through a nozzle, ignited, and blown out of the arrangement (124) so as to create a flame.
A method according to claim, 16 wherein said powder material comprises at least one element selected from the group consisting of:
- wood dust, potato flour, and wheat flour.
An arrangement for creating flames, characterized in that the arrangement comprises a means (102, 102b) for injecting combustible powder material into a gas stream, a means for discharging the dispersed mixture of powder and gas through a nozzle (103, 103b, 108, 200, 300), and a means for igniting (103b, 204) the mixture blown out of the arrangement so as to create a flame.
