A coating system comprising:
- (i) a substrate
- (ii) an ultra-violet protective layer comprising particles of a cerium oxide, a titanium oxide, a zinc oxide, or mixtures thereof.
- (iii) an anti-reflective layer comprising nano-particles of metal oxide.
A coating system comprising:
- (i) a substrate having a refractive index of from about 1.4 to about 2.5,
- (ii) a first coating layer having a refractive index of from about 1.7 to about 1.9, and
- (iii) a second coating layer having a refractive index of from about 1.3 to about 1.5.
