Signal transmission with fixed subcarrier spacing within ofdma communication systems

A station configured for signal transmission in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system, comprising:

• a processor configured to fix a subcarrier spacing to a predetermined value for one or more subframes in all available bandwidths;
• and
• a transmitter configured to transmit a signal having the fixed subcarrier spacing, regardless of a frame structure of the one or more subframes.

A computer-readable medium storing executable instructions thereon for performing method for signal transmission in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system, the method comprising:

• fixing a subcarrier spacing to a predetermined value for one or more subframes in all available bandwidths;
• and
• transmitting a signal having the fixed subcarrier spacing, regardless of a frame structure of the one or more subframes.

A method for signal transmission in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system, comprising:

• transmitting OFDM symbols using more than one cyclic prefix values within at least one of a frame, or a subframe and a superframe.

A method for signal transmission in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) communication system, comprising:

• transmitting a plurality of radio frequency channels, wherein
• there is no guard band required between adjacent radio frequency channels.

A method for signal transmission in a plurality of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) communication systems, comprising:

• transmitting alternative radio frames of the plurality of OFDMA communications systems;
• and
• synchronizing a beginning of each radio frame of each OFDMA communication system with a 1 ms time period.
