Abstract
Novel impact strength modifiers which are obtained by reaction of amphiphilic block copolymers. These impact strength modifiers are suitable in particular for use in heat-curing epoxy resin adhesives. In particular, combinations of different impact strength modifiers are also suitable for use in heat-curing epoxy resin adhesives. Also disclosed are methods of bonding heat-stable substrates.
Claims18
Impact strength modifier comprising:
- an isocyanate group-containing polyurethane polymer (PU1), which is synthesized from at least one polyisocyanate and at least one amphiphilic block copolymer having at least one hydroxyl group, and optionally at least one compound with at least two NCO-reactive groups;
- or
- a reaction product PU2 between the polyurethane polymer (PU1) and at least one NCO-reactive compound.
