Mobile, pc, and web enhanced telecommunications environment

A computer-readable medium containing contents that, when executed, control a computer processor to perform a method comprising:

• receiving from at least one client device an indication of a plurality of telephone numbers of participant legs for a desired conference call;
• using a PABX server computing system, initiating the desired conference call for the plurality of telephone numbers of participant legs using the telephone exchange network with a billing rate computed as if the computing system originated the conference call and charging each participant call leg from the physical location associated with the computing system;
• tracking the billing information for the conference call;
• and
• providing an interface to the client device to allow the client device to control the initiated conference call.

A telecommunications system comprising:

• a memory;
• an API server for receiving indications of a plurality of telephone numbers of participant legs for a desired conference call from an interface executing on one of one or more client devices;
• a PABX means for initiating the desired conference call for the plurality of telephone numbers of participant legs using a telephone exchange network with a billing rate computed as if the computing system originated the conference call and charging each participant call leg from the physical location associated with the telecommunications system;
• and
• a billing means for tracking the billing information for the conference call.
