Abstract
A display apparatus includes: a video processor which performs calibration; a signal generator which generates a signal; and a controller which controls the signal generator to generate an analog signal corresponding to a predetermined direct current voltage when performing the calibration, and controls the video processor to convert the analog signal into the digital signal and to adjust the digital signal to have a same value as a reference value. The signal input for calibration is achieved in a board controllable by a microcomputer, so that the board itself can automatically perform the calibration with regard to various kinds of signals without connection of an external device.
Claims22
A display apparatus comprising:
- a video processor which performs calibration;
- a signal generator which generates a signal;
- and
- a controller which controls the signal generator to generate an analog signal corresponding to a predetermined direct current voltage when performing the calibration, and controls the video processor to convert the analog signal into a digital signal and to adjust the digital signal to have a same value as a reference value.
A display method comprising:
- generating an analog signal corresponding to a predetermined direct current voltage;
- converting the analog signal into a digital signal to be compared with a reference value;
- and
- adjusting the digital signal to have the same value as the reference value to perform calibration.
A display apparatus comprising:
- a signal generator which generates a calibration signal;
- a video processor which receives the calibration signal;
- and
- a controller which controls the signal generator and the video processor,
- wherein the video processor performs calibration based on the received calibration signal under control of the controller.
A display method comprising:
- generating a calibration signal with a signal generator internal to a display apparatus;
- receiving the internally generated calibration signal with a video processor;
- and
- controlling the signal generator and the video processor with a controller to perform calibration,
- wherein the video processor performs calibration based on the received calibration signal.
