Abstract
A method for streaming video data. Video data is received. At least one frame of the video data is segmented into a plurality of regions. Video data corresponding to a first region of the plurality of regions is transmitted over a network. The video data corresponding to a second region of the plurality of regions is modified according to interactive input. The video data corresponding to a modified version of the second region is transmitted over the network.
Claims20
A method for streaming video data, the method comprising:
- receiving the video data;
- segmenting at least one frame of the video data into a plurality of regions;
- transmitting the video data corresponding to a first region of the plurality of regions over a network;
- modifying the video data corresponding to a second region of the plurality of regions according to interactive input;
- and
- transmitting the video data corresponding to a modified version of the second region over the network.
A method for decoding video data, the method comprising:
- receiving a first portion of video data corresponding to a first region of a frame, the frame comprising a plurality of regions, wherein the first portion is independently decodable;
- receiving a second portion of video data corresponding to a second region of the frame, wherein the second portion has been modified according to interactive input;
- decoding the first portion;
- decoding the second portion;
- and
- displaying the frame comprising the first portion and the second portion.
One or more computing device readable media for storing instructions that when executed by one or more processors perform a method for streaming video data, the method comprising:
- receiving the video data;
- segmenting at least one frame of the video data into a plurality of regions;
- transmitting a first portion of the video data corresponding to a first region of the plurality of regions over a network;
- modifying a second portion of the video data corresponding to a second region of the plurality of regions according to interactive input;
- and
- transmitting a modified version of the second portion over the network.
