Abstract
A method is provided for use in an XML Document Management Architecture. An Aggregation Proxy of Remote Network to use for accessing an XCAP document in the remote network is determined by performing a DNS lookup.

A method for use in an Extensible Markup Language (XML) Document Management Architecture, comprising determining an Aggregation Proxy of Remote Network to use for accessing an XML Configuration Access Protocol (XCAP) document in the remote network, the Aggregation Proxy of Remote Network being determined by performing a Domain Name Server (DNS) lookup.
An apparatus for use in an XML Document Management Architecture, comprising means for determining an Aggregation Proxy of Remote Network to use for accessing an XCAP document in the remote network, the Aggregation Proxy of Remote Network being determined by performing a DNS lookup.
The Domain Name Server comprising at least one SRV record provided particularly for the purpose of identifying an Aggregation Proxy of Remote Network of an XML Document Management Architecture and having a service name identifying it as such.
