Abstract
The present invention relates to a process for preparing isocyanates.
Claims14
A process for preparing an isocyanate by reacting in the gas phase the corresponding amine with phosgene, optionally in the presence of at least one inert medium, by contacting fluid streams of amine and phosgene and subsequently reacting them with one another, which comprises reducing the turbulent flow interface of at least one stream immediately before it is contacted with the other stream by means of at least one fluidic flow disruptor.
A mixing device comprising at least two flow channels which are arranged such that the openings of the flow channels open in a mixing space, at least one of the flow channels at a diameter D having at least one flow disruptor of height d1 and/or at least one flow disruptor of depth d2 at a distance L from the opening into the mixing chamber, where the ratio of d1:D is from 0.002 to 0.2:1 or the ratio d2:D is from 0.001 to 0.5:1 and the distance L is at least twice the diameter D.
