A method of inhibiting fatty acid uptake by cells, comprising:
- contacting said cells with a compound of Formula (I):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt form thereof, wherein:
- X is O or S;
- R1 is selected from the group consisting of:
- F, Cl, Br, I, OH, and O(C1-6 alkyl);
- R2, R3, and R4 are independently selected from the group consisting of:
- H, F, Cl, Br, I, OH, and O(C1-6 alkyl), wherein at least two of R2, R3, and R4 are not H.
A method of inhibiting fatty acid uptake by cells, comprising:
- contacting said cells with a compound of Formula (II):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt form thereof, wherein:
- R1 is H or NO2;
- R2 is selected from the group consisting of:
- H, F, Cl, Br, I, OH, and O(C1-6 alkyl);
- R3 is selected from the group consisting of:
- F, Cl, Br, I, OH, and O(C1-6 alkyl);
- and
- n is an integer from 0 to 5.
A method of inhibiting fatty acid uptake by cells, comprising:
- contacting said cells with a compound of Formula (III):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt form thereof, wherein:
- R1 is H or O(C1-6 alkyl);

A method of inhibiting fatty acid uptake by cells, comprising:
- contacting said cells with a compound of Formula (IV):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt form thereof, wherein:
- R1 and R2 are independently selected from the group consisting of:
- H, F, Cl, Br, I, OH, and O(C1-6 alkyl).
A method of inhibiting fatty acid uptake by cells, comprising:
- contacting said cells with a compound selected from the group consisting of:
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt form thereof.
