Abstract
A preference related to the broadcast of a work, for example a song or advertisement, is obtained from a subscriber. The work is associated with one of a plurality of unique identifiers, and the particular identifier with which the work is associated can be identified in some instances by using information included with the subscriber preference. In response to determining which unique identifier is associated with the work, content associated with that identifier can be delivered to the subscriber according to his preference.

- a communications interface operably coupled to the memory;
- a processor operably coupled to the communications interface and to the memory, the processor configured to execute a program of instructions to:
- obtain from a first subscriber a first preference related to a broadcast of a work, the work being associated with one of a plurality of unique identifiers;
- identify the one of a plurality of unique identifiers associated with the work;
- deliver first content associated with the one of a plurality of unique identifiers to the first subscriber based on the first preference.
A computer readable medium tangibly embodying a program of computer executable instructions configured to be stored in a memory and executed by a processor, the program of computer readable instructions comprising:
- at least one instruction to obtain from a first subscriber a first preference related to a broadcast of a work, the work being associated with one of a plurality of unique identifiers;
- at least one instruction to identify the one of a plurality of unique identifiers associated with the work;
