Abstract
According to an example of the invention, a specimen processing apparatus includes, image detection unit for detecting image data on a specimen before an analytical process to analyze the specimen, and chyle-laky blood detection unit for detecting a chylous or laky state of the specimen by the color of the specimen, based on the detected image data.

A specimen processing apparatus comprising:
- an image detection unit for detecting image data on a specimen before an analytical process to analyze the specimen;
- and
- a chyle-laky blood detection unit for detecting a chylous or laky state of the specimen by color of the specimen, based on the detected image data.
A specimen processing method comprising:
- detecting image data on a specimen before an analytical process to analyze the specimen;
- and
- detecting a chylous or laky state of the specimen by color of the specimen, based on the detected image data.
