Mounting an antenna system to a solid surface

An antenna system comprising:

• an antenna configured to communicate with a wireless device;
• an antenna housing configured to cover the antenna, the antenna housing having a front surface and a rear surface disposed substantially between a solid surface ceiling and the front surface;
• a coaxial cable that is configured to couple the antenna with a communication device, the coaxial cable to extend from the rear surface;
• and
• a bracket configured to be coupled with the antenna housing and a solid surface ceiling, the bracket having a height greater than a minimum bend radius of the coaxial cable.

A method for installing an antenna system, the method comprising:

• coupling a solid surface bracket with a solid surface ceiling, the solid surface bracket being disposed on a first side of the solid surface ceiling;
• coupling an antenna with the solid surface bracket;
• and
• routing a communication cable coupled with the antenna to a communication device, the communication cable being routed on the first side of the solid surface ceiling.
