Abstract
A dielectric layer for an electronic device, such as a thin-film transistor, is provided. The dielectric layer comprises a molecular glass. The resulting dielectric layer is very thin, pure, and stable. Processes and compositions for fabricating such a dielectric layer are also disclosed.

A dielectric layer for an electronic device, wherein the dielectric layer comprises a molecular glass.
A dielectric layer formed from a solution comprising:
- a molecular glass;
- a crosslinking agent;
- and
- an optional catalyst.
A thin film transistor comprising a dielectric layer, wherein the dielectric layer is formed by the crosslinking of:
- a crosslinking agent;
- and
- a molecular glass selected from the group consisting of formulas (1a) and (2a):
A liquid composition for fabricating a dielectric layer, comprising:
- a molecular glass, an optional crosslinking agent, and an optional catalyst.
