Abstract
A ventilation device and a controlling method of the same are provided. The ventilation device may include a humidifier having improved humidification efficiency and improved durability.
Claims22
A ventilation device, comprising:
- a ventilator comprising a heat exchanger that performs heat exchange between exhausted indoor air and supplied external air;
- and
- a humidifier, comprising:
- a first supply tank provided at a first height and configured to store fluid therein;
- a second supply tank provided at a second height that is different from the first height and configured to store fluid therein;
- a first supply pipe that connects the first and second supply tanks;
- and
- a wicking device that absorbs fluid from at least one of the first or second water supply tank so as to humidify supplied air passing therethrough from the ventilator.

A method of controlling a ventilation device, the method comprising:
- operating a ventilator comprising a supply fan and an exhaust fan so as to draw air into the ventilation device;
- selectively supplying fluid to a humidifier and humidifying air received from the ventilator as it passes through the humidifier;
- determining a fluid level of at least one supply tank of the humidifier while humidifying the air passing through the humidifier;
- and
- controlling a supply valve and a supply of fluid to the at least one supply tank based on the determined fluid level of the at least one supply tank.
