Abstract
A device for holding animal waste pads having raised peripheral sidewalls surrounding a base for containing a waste pad, and sidewall extensions attachable to the sidewalls to contain and direct an animal to an appropriate position in the use of the animal waste pads.
Claims18
A holder for a disposable waste pad comprising:
- a base having
- a substantially planar bottom for holding the disposable waste pad,
- four sidewalls integrally formed with and located near a periphery of the bottom, the four sidewalls being perpendicular to and extending a distance above the plane of the bottom, and
- a waste pad retainer formed in at least one sidewall for removeably retaining the disposable waste pad substantially between the four sidewalls;
- three sidewall extensions attachable to the base, with the sidewall extensions being perpendicular to and extending substantially greater than the distance above the plane of the bottom, with each sidewall extension being perpendicular to each adjacent sidewall extension;
- and
- the three sidewall extensions further having a plurality of perforations extending completely through the three sidewall extensions.

A holder for a disposable waste pad comprising:
- a base having
- a bottom substantially defining a plane for holding the disposable waste pad,
- at least three sidewalls integrally formed with the bottom and that are perpendicular to and extend a distance above the plane of the bottom,
- each of the at least three sidewalls being integrally formed with an adjacent sidewall, and
- a means for retaining the waste pad located at opposing ends of the bottom;
- at least one sidewall extension perpendicular to and extending substantially greater than the distance above the plane of the bottom;
- and
- a means for attaching the at least one sidewall extension to the base.
