Abstract
The present disclosure relates to methods of making ceramic bodies using catalyzed pore formers and compositions for making the same.
Claims20
A method of making a ceramic body, the method comprising:
- forming a green body from a batch material, the batch material comprising at least one inorganic ceramic-forming component and at least one catalyzed pore former,
- wherein the at least one catalyzed pore former is comprised of at least one catalyst and at least one carbonaceous pore former;
- and
- firing the green body to burn out the at least one catalyzed pore former and form the ceramic body.
