Abstract
Apparatus and methods for olefin polymerization are provided. A fluidized bed reactor may include a cylindrical section, a dome, a transition section between the cylindrical section and the dome, at least three outlet nozzles disposed on the dome, and a recycle line in fluid communication with the at least three outlet nozzles.

A fluidized bed reactor, comprising:
- a cylindrical section;
- a dome;
- a transition section between the cylindrical section and the dome;
- at least three outlet nozzles disposed on the dome;
- and
- a recycle line in fluid communication with the at least three outlet nozzles.

A method for olefin polymerization;
- comprising:
- forming a fluidized bed comprising a plurality of solid particles within a fluidized bed reactor comprising:
- a cylindrical section;
- a dome;
- a transition section between the cylindrical section and the dome;
- at least three outlet nozzles disposed on the dome, and
- a recycle line in fluid communication with the at least three outlet nozzles;
- and
- removing a recycle stream from the fluidized bed reactor through the at least three outlet nozzles.
