Abstract
An apparatus comprises a plurality of cores and a controller coupled to the cores. The controller is to lower an operating point of a first core if a first number based on processor clock cycles per instruction (CPI) associated with a second core is higher than a first threshold. The controller is operable to increase the operating point of the first core if the first number is lower than a second threshold.
Claims22
An apparatus comprising:
- a plurality of processing elements;
- and
- a controller coupled to the plurality of processing elements to lower an operating point of a first processing element if a first number based on cycles per instruction (CPI) associated with a second processing element is higher than a first threshold.
A system comprising:
- a plurality of processing elements;
- a controller coupled to the plurality of processing elements to lower an operating point of a first processing element if a first number based on clock cycles per instruction (CPI) associated with a second processing element is higher than a first threshold;
- and
- a memory to store one or more programs to be executed.
1 more element
A method comprising:
- generating a first number based on clock cycles per instruction (CPI) associated with a first processing element of a processor;
- and
- decreasing, by a controller, an operating point of a second processing element of a processor if the first number is higher than a first threshold.
