Abstract
A user terminal apparatus and a control method therefor, which constitutes part of a thin client system which transfers data to a file server and stores the data therein. The system aggregates user data in a file server by controlling writing into a secondary storage device of the user terminal and controlling writing out to an external storage medium, to prevent loss and leakage of confidential information.
Claims13
A user terminal apparatus which constitutes a part of a thin client system which transfers data to a file server and stores the data therein, comprising:
- a secondary storage device;
- a cache memory;
- a file access control unit which judges a class of an I/O request to the secondary storage device from an application;
- and
- first and second redirection processing units which redirect the I/O request,
- wherein if the file access control unit judges that the I/O request from the application is a double-write-enabled process and is a write request, the file access control unit transfers the I/O request to the first and second redirection processing units, and
- the first and second redirection processing units write data corresponding to the I/O request, into the cache memory, respectively.
A control method for a user terminal apparatus which constitutes a part of a thin client system which transfers data to a file server and stores the data therein, wherein
- the user terminal apparatus comprises a secondary storage device, a cache memory, a file access control unit which judges a class of an I/O request to the secondary storage device from an application, and first and second redirection processing units which redirect the I/O request, and
- the control method comprises:
- if the file access control unit judges that the I/O request from the application is a double-write-enabled process and is a write request, transferring the I/O request to the first and second redirection processing units by the file access control unit, and
- writing data corresponding to the I/O request, into the cache memory by the first and second redirection processing units, respectively.
