Redirection of a request for information

A method, comprising:

• identifying a first data center configured to receive a request initiated by an end user;
• detecting a presence of a wide area application service (WAAS);
• identifying a second data center;
• and
• signaling, in response to the presence of the WAAS, to redirect data packets associated with the request to the second data center.

A system, comprising:

• means for identifying a first data center configured to receive a request initiated by an end user;
• means for detecting a presence of a wide area application service (WAAS);
• means for identifying a second data center;
• and
• means for signaling, in response to the presence of the WAAS, to redirect data packets associated with the request to the second data center.

Logic encoded in one or more tangible media for execution and when executed by a processor is operable to:

• identify a first data center configured to receive a request initiated by an end user;
• detect a presence of a wide area application service (WAAS);
• identify a second data center;
• and
• signal, in response to the presence of the WAAS, to redirect data packets associated with the request to the second data center.
