Abstract
The present invention relates to a diving computer, a computer program, and a method for determining ascent time in a diving computer (100), in which method the initial data on the available gases (10 . . . 60) are received, the prevailing pressure and diving time are measured, and information is received in connection with the initial data, based on which the gases (10 . . . 60) are divided into at least primary (A) and secondary (B) gases, and an optimal dive plan is calculated based on the initial data of the primary gases (A), the prevailing pressure, and the surfacing model.

Method for determining ascent time in a diving computer (100), in which method:
- initial data on the available gases (10 . . . 60) are received,
- the prevailing pressure and the diving time are measured,
- a dive plan is calculated, based on the received initial data, the prevailing pressure, and
- a surfacing model,
- characterized in that
- in connection with the initial data, information is received, based on which the gases (10 . . . 60) are divided into at least primary (A) and secondary (B) gases,
- the optimal dive plan is calculated on the basis of the initial data of the primary gases (A).
Diving computer (100) which comprises:
- a control unit (200),
- a user interface (110), for receiving and displaying diving-gas data, such as the composition of a gas, which user interface (110) is connected to the control unit (200),
- storage means (120), for receiving, storing, and transmitting diving-gas data, which storage means (120) are connected to the control unit (200),
- a pressure sensor (130), for measuring the prevailing pressure, which pressure sensor (130) is arranged to transmit pressure-measurement information to the control unit (200),
- at least one means for creating a surfacing model (210), which means are arranged in the control unit (200) and by means of which this (200) is arranged to calculate the diver's surfacing time on the basis of the diving-gas data contained in the storage means (120) and the pressure-measurement information transmitted by the pressure sensor (130),
- means for measuring diving time (240), which are arranged in the control unit (240),
- characterized in that
- the control unit (200) comprises means for classifying (230) a diving gas as at least a primary (A) or a secondary gas (B), as well as at least means for creating a second surfacing model,
- the control unit (200) comprises means for calculating, on the basis of the classification, the surfacing time using a first surfacing model (210) created for the primary gases (A) and means for calculating, on the basis of the classification, a surfacing time using a second surfacing model (220) created for the secondary gases (B).
