Substituted pyrazolo-pyrrolo-pyridine-dione compounds

A compound having formula I:

• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof, wherein:
• R1 is H, -Q-T or -Q-X-T;
• R2 is H, halogen, unsubstituted or substituted C6-C10 aryl or unsubstituted or substituted heteroaryl comprising one or two 5- or 6-membered rings and 1-4 heteroatoms selected from N, O and S, unsubstituted or substituted C3-C10 carbocycle or unsubstituted or substituted heterocycle comprising one or two 5- or 6-membered rings and 1-4 heteroatoms selected from N, O and S;
• R3 is H, unsubstituted or substituted C1-C6 alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted C6-C10 aryl or unsubstituted or substituted C6-C10 aryl-C1-C6 alkyl;
• Q is a bond or unsubstituted or substituted C1-C6 alkyl linker;
• X is O, S, NR4, C(O), C(O)O, C(O)NR4 or CR5R6;
• T is H, unsubstituted or substituted C1-C10 alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted C2-C8 alkenyl, unsubstituted or substituted C2-C8 alkynyl, unsubstituted or substituted amino, unsubstituted or substituted C1-C6 alkylamino, unsubstituted or substituted di-C1-C6 alkylamino, unsubstituted or substituted C6-C14 aryl, unsubstituted or substituted C6-C14 aryl-C1-C6 alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted heteroaryl comprising one or two 5- or 6-membered rings and 1-4 heteroatoms selected from N, O and S, unsubstituted or substituted C3-C10 carbocycle or unsubstituted or substituted heterocycle comprising one or two 5- or 6-membered rings and 1-4 heteroatoms selected from N, O and S;
• R4 is H or unsubstituted or substituted C1-C6 alkyl;
• and
• R5 and R6 are each independently H, unsubstituted or substituted C1-C6 alkyl or unsubstituted or substituted C1-C6 alkoxy.
