Abstract
The present invention is directed to the use of the combination of the peptide compounds Ala-Val-Ser-Glu-His-Gln-Leu-Leu-His-Asp-Lys-Gly-Lys-Ser-Ile-Gln-Asp-Leu-Arg-Arg-Arg-Phe-Phe-Leu-His-His-Leu-Ile-Ala-Glu-Ile-His-Thr-Ala-OH and VaI-Pro-Leu-Pro-Ala-Gly-Gly-Gly-Thr-Val-Leu-Thr-Lys-Met-Tyr-Pro-Arg-Gly-Asn-His-Trp-Ala-Val-Gly-His-Leu-Met-NH2 as a therapeutic combination for prophylaxis and/or treatment of cancer, a heart and vascular disease, an infectious disease, a fibrotic disease, an inflammatory disease, a neurodegenerative disease, or an autoimmune disease.

A pharmaceutical composition comprising a combination of a first peptide and a second peptide or salts or hydrates thereof, wherein the first peptide consists of the sequence Ala-Val-Ser-Glu-His-Gln-Leu-Leu-His-Asp-Lys-Gly-Lys-Ser-Ile-Gln-Asp-Leu-Arg-Arg-Arg-Phe-Phe-Leu-His-His-Leu-Ile-Ala-Glu-Ile-His-Thr-Ala-OH (SEQ ID NO:1) and the second peptide consists of the sequence Val-Pro-Leu-Pro-Ala-Gly-Gly-Gly-Thr-Val-Leu-Thr-Lys-Met-Tyr-Pro-Arg-Gly-Asn-His-Trp-Ala-Val-Gly-His-Leu-Met-NH2 (SEQ ID NO:2).
A method of treatment of cancer, autoimmune disease, fibrotic diseases inflammatory disease, neurodegenerative disease, infectious disease, lung disease, heart and vascular disease and metabolic disease, comprising
- administering to a patient in need thereof, a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising a first peptide consisting of the sequence Ala-Val-Ser-Glu-His-Gln-Leu-Leu-His-Asp-Lys-Gly-Lys-Ser-Ile-Gln-Asp-Leu-Arg-Arg-Arg-Phe-Phe-Leu-His-His-Leu-Ile-Ala-Glu-Ile-His-Thr-Ala-OH (SEQ ID NO:1) or a salt or hydrate thereof, wherein administration of the pharmaceutical composition treats said diseases.
