Abstract
The specification and drawing figures describe and show an apparatus, system and method of extending and improving battery life that includes identifying one or more parameters that affect linearity of a receiver, assigning the one or more parameters to one or more modes, and adjusting the linearity of the receiver based on the one or more parameters.
Claims35
A method, comprising:
- identifying a parameter that affects linearity;
- and
- adjusting the linearity based on the parameter.
A method of extending receiver battery life, comprising:
- identifying a plurality of operational parameters that affect receiver linearity;
- selecting one or more of the plurality of operational parameters based on at least one mode of linearity of the receiver;
- and
- adjusting receiver linearity as a function of the one or more of the plurality of operational parameters and the at least one mode of linearity of the receiver in such a way that the receiver battery life is extended.
An apparatus, comprising:
- a receiver;
- a battery operatively connected to the receiver;
- a microprocessor operatively connected to the receiver and to the battery capable of receiving, storing, executing, and transmitting instructions related at least to extending the life of the battery as a function of one or more parameters that affect linearity of the receiver;
- and
- a storage medium operatively connected to the microprocessor.
A machine-readable medium comprising instructions that when executed by a machine, cause the machine to extend the life of a battery, the instructions comprising:
- instructions to identify one or more parameters that affect linearity of a receiver operatively connected to the machine;
- and
- instructions to assign the one or more parameters to at least one of a plurality of modes of linearity during operation of the machine.
A system for extending the life of a battery connected to an SPS receiver in a mobile terminal, comprising:
- means for identifying a plurality of parameters that affect linearity of the SPS receiver;
- and
- means for adjusting the linearity based on the plurality of parameters.
