Abstract
An electrostatic-image-developing toner includes a binder resin that contains a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous polyester resin; and a coloring agent, wherein the crystalline polyester resin has a melting temperature Tmc of about 25° C. or greater but not greater than about 50° C., and a content of the crystalline polyester resin in the electrostatic-image-developing toner is about 3 wt % or greater but not greater than about 15 wt. %.
Claims19
An electrostatic-image-developing toner comprising:
- a binder resin that contains a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous polyester resin;
- and
- a coloring agent,
- wherein
- the crystalline polyester resin has a melting temperature Tmc of about 25° C. or greater but not greater than about 50° C., and
- a content of the crystalline polyester resin in the electrostatic-image-developing toner is about 3 wt. % or greater but not greater than about 15 wt. %.

A production method of an electrostatic-image-developing toner, comprising;
- dissolving or dispersing, in an organic solvent, a binder resin containing a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous polyester resin and a coloring agent to prepare a mixture;
- dispersing and suspending the mixture in an aqueous medium to prepare a suspension;
- removing the organic solvent from the suspension to obtain a toner dispersion;
- and
- drying the toner dispersion to obtain a toner,
- wherein
- the crystalline polyester resin has a melting temperature Tmc of about 25° C. or greater but not greater than about 50° C., and
- a content of the crystalline polyester resin in the toner is about 3 wt. % or greater but not greater than about 15 wt. %.
