Abstract
A rechargeable battery including a case containing an electrode assembly, the electrode assembly having a coated region and an uncoated region, a lead member inside the case, the lead member surrounding at least a part of the uncoated region of the electrode assembly and having a first thickness, an electrode terminal connected to the lead member, and a current collecting plate having a second thickness that is thinner than the first thickness and coupled to the lead member and to the uncoated region.
Claims19
A rechargeable battery, comprising:
- a case containing an electrode assembly, the electrode assembly having a coated region and an uncoated region;
- a lead member inside the case, the lead member surrounding at least a part of the uncoated region of the electrode assembly and having a first thickness;
- an electrode terminal connected to the lead member;
- and
- a current collecting plate having a second thickness that is thinner than the first thickness and coupled to the lead member and to the uncoated region.
