Abstract
A thermal transfer sheet having a dye layer that contains a thermotransferable dye and a binder on a substrate film, wherein the dye layer contains a dye of the following formula (1), and at least 50% by mass of the binder in the dye layer is a carboxylic acid-modified polyvinyl acetal resin: wherein A represents a phenylene group; R1 and R2 represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an aryl group; R3 represents an amino group, an alkoxy group, or an aryloxy group; R4 represents an alkyl group, or an aryl group.

A thermal transfer sheet having a dye layer that contains a thermotransferable dye and a binder on one side of a substrate film, wherein the dye layer contains at least one dye of the following formula (1), and at least 50% by mass of the binder in the dye layer is a carboxylic acid-modified polyvinyl acetal resin:
- wherein A represents a substituted or unsubstituted phenylene group;
- R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group;
- R3 represents a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group;
- R4 represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group.
