Developer station with auger system

A developer station comprising:

• a sump for holding a reservoir of magnetic developer comprising toner and carrier;
• a magnetic brush roller mounted above said sump further including a rotatable magnetic core surrounded by a substantially cylindrical rotatable toning shell eccentrically mounted with respect to the core and wherein a magnetic field around said toning shell varies between a highest and lowest field strength, and said developer is applied to a region of said toning shell having a magnetic field strength that is intermediate between said highest and lowest field strength, said shell being adjacent to a photoconductor and defining a nip;
• a feed apparatus;
• for moving at least toner and a magnetic carrier toward the toning shell, the apparatus comprising a housing defining two or more channel profiles to support two or more auger assemblies wherein one auger assembly comprises a continuous auger and another auger assembly comprises one or more auger segments that fit the channel profile such that the continuous auger assembly transports developer to the toning shell.
