Abstract
A circuit for charging a battery may include a switch operable for conducting a current flowing through the switch, and a first amplifier coupled to the switch and operable for adjusting the current according to an amount of power dissipation associated with the switch.
Claims24
A circuit comprising:
- a switch operable for conducting a current flowing through said switch;
- and
- a first amplifier coupled to said switch and operable for adjusting said current according to an amount of power dissipation associated with said switch.
A method for controlling a switch comprising:
- conducting a current flowing through said switch;
- and
- adjusting said current flowing through said switch according to an amount of power dissipation associated with said switch using an amplifier.
A battery charging system comprising:
- a charging switch for conducting a charging current to a battery;
- a first amplifier coupled to said charging switch and operable for adjusting said charging current according to an amount of power dissipation associated with said charging switch if a voltage of said battery is lower than a predetermined voltage threshold;
- and
- a second amplifier coupled to said charging switch and operable for adjusting said charging current according to said voltage of said battery if said voltage of said battery reaches said predetermined voltage threshold.
