## Abstract

It is intended to provide a serum which contains a large amount of growth factors capable of efficiently promoting the growth of stem cells. A human serum for cell culture which shows a residual ratio of platelets remaining within 20 minutes after blood collection in relation to the whole amount of the platelets is 0% to 20%, and a release ratio of cell growth factors is 20% to 100%.

## Claims

### Claim at position 1

### Claim 9

A method of producing human serum for cell culture, the method comprising:
an activation acceleration process of contacting blood and a blood coagulation accelerating substance having a surface area of 0.1 to 25 mm2 per ml of said blood, and shaking; and
a centrifugation process of separating serum by centrifugation from the blood that has undergone the activation acceleration process.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

A method of producing human serum for cell culture according to claim 9, wherein the blood coagulation accelerating substance is glass beads.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

A method of producing human serum for cell culture according to claim 10, wherein a surface of the glass beads is formed of a layer comprising a silicon dioxide compound using at least one selected from of glass, silica, diatomaceous earth, and kaolin.

### Claim 12 (depends on 10)

A method of producing human serum for cell culture according to claim 10, wherein the shape of the glass beads is substantially spherical.

### Claim 13 (depends on 9)

A method of producing human serum for cell culture according to claim 9, comprising a blood storing process of storing the blood in a blood reservoir containing the blood coagulation accelerating substance, before the activation acceleration process.

### Claim 14 (depends on 10)

A method of producing human serum for cell culture according to claim 10, comprising a blood storing process of storing the blood in a blood reservoir containing the blood coagulation accelerating substance, before the activation acceleration process.
