Abstract
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a porous metal-organic framework by reacting at least one metal compound in which the metal is Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Al, Ga or In with at least one at least bidentate organic compound and also the use of such porous metal-organic frameworks.

1-13. (canceled)
A process for preparing a porous metal-organic framework, which comprises the step
- reaction of at least one metal compound with at least one at least bidentate organic compound which can coordinate to the metal, in the presence of a nonaqueous organic solvent, where the metal is BeII, MgII, CaII, SrII, BaII, AlIII, GaIII or InIII and the organic compound has at least two atoms which are selected independently from the group consisting of oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen and via which the organic compound can coordinate to the metal, with the reaction being carried out with stirring and at a pressure of not more than 2 bar (absolute), wherein after the reaction the framework formed is after-treated with an organic solvent and/or a calcination step is carried out.
