## Abstract

A disclosed downlink channel configuration method in a radio communication system includes a step of including a broadcast channel, a paging channel, and a downlink shared channel as transport channels; a step of including as a physical channel a physical downlink shared channel to which the downlink shared channel of the transport channel is mapped; and a step of sharing the downlink shared channel by plural users without using a dedicated channel separately allocated to each of the users. In a preferred embodiment, as the physical channels, there are further included a physical broadcast channel as an independent radio resource to which the broadcast channel of the transport channel is mapped and a physical paging channel as an independent radio resource to which the paging channel of the transport channel is mapped.

## Claims

a step of including a broadcast channel, a paging channel, and a downlink shared channel as transport channels;
a step of including as a physical channel a physical downlink shared channel to which the downlink shared channel of the transport channel is mapped; and
a step of sharing the downlink shared channel by plural users without using a dedicated channel separately allocated to each of the users.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 1, wherein as the physical channel, there is further included a physical broadcast channel as an independent radio resource to which the broadcast channel of the transport channel is mapped.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 2, wherein the physical broadcast channel transmits the same broadcast information in plural sectors controlled by a same base station.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 1, wherein as the physical channel, there is further included a physical paging channel as an independent radio resource to which the paging channel of the transport channel is mapped.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 1, wherein the paging channel of the transport channel is mapped to the physical downlink shared channel.

### Claim 6 (depends on 4)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 4, wherein the physical paging channel transmits the same paging information in plural sectors controlled by a same base station.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 1, wherein as the physical channels, there is further included:
a physical paging channel as an independent radio resource to which the paging channel of the transport channel is mapped; and
an independent paging indicator channel for transmitting paging indicator information indicating a position on the radio resource to which the physical paging channel is mapped.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 7, wherein the paging indicator channel transmits the same paging information in plural sectors controlled by a same base station.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 1, wherein as the physical channel, there is further included a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) channel as an independent radio resource to which the downlink shared channel of the transport channel is mapped.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 9, wherein the Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) channel transmits the same MBMS information in plural cells or sectors in a prescribed area.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 1, wherein as the physical channel, there is further included a pilot channel for transmitting a reference symbol.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 1, wherein as the physical channel, there is further included a synchronization channel for transmitting a signal including information for performing at least one of symbol synchronization, radio frame synchronization, cell identification, and identification of cell group including plural cells.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 1, wherein as the physical channel, there is further included a layer 1/layer 2 control channel for transmitting a signal including control information of the layers 1 and 2.

### Claim 14 (depends on 1)

The downlink channel configuration method according to claim 1, wherein as the physical channels, there is further included:
a physical paging channel as an independent radio resource to which the paging channel of the transport channel is mapped;
a layer 1/layer 2 control channel for transmitting a signal including control information related to the layers 1 and 2,
wherein paging indicator information indicating a position on the radio resource to which the physical paging channel is mapped is transmitted by the layer 1/layer 2 control channel.

### Claim 15
