Abstract
In various implementations, sales orders are received and product requirement specifications is generated based on the sales orders. Planning for the production of the goods occurs based on the product requirement specification and the goods are produced based on the plan.
Claims20
A computer implemented method for the management of goods ordering, the method comprising:
- receiving a sales order, from a sales requester, for at least one of the goods, wherein the sales order includes product requirements for ordered goods;
- determining which product requirements will be satisfied in the production of the ordered goods based on a sales product requirement specification business object generated with the sales order;
- creating a planning product requirement specification using a product requirement specification business object based on the sales order and the product requirements determination
- determining a source of supply for at least one component of the ordered goods based on the planning product requirement specification;
- generating a plan for production of the ordered goods;
- and
- storing the plan in memory.
