Make-to-Specification Process and Data Model

A computer program product comprising a tangible medium storing computer readable instructions for managing goods ordering, the computer program product operable when executed to perform operations comprising:

• receiving a sales order from a sales order requester for at least one of the goods, wherein the sales order includes product options for ordered goods via a sales product requirement specification object;
• generating a sales order confirmation at least partially based on the sales order;
• generating a plan for production of the ordered goods;
• allowing the ordered goods to be produced based on the plan;
• and
• generating an outbound delivery request defined by a planning product requirement specification object, wherein the ordered goods are delivered to the sales order requestor based on the delivery request.

A system comprising:

• a memory storing one or more instructions and master data related to sales;
• and
• a processor configured to execute one or more of the instructions to:
• receive a sales order from a sales order requestor for at least one of the goods, wherein the sales order includes product options for ordered goods via a sales product requirement specification object;
• generate a sales order confirmation at least partially based on the sales order;
• generate a plan for production of the ordered goods;
• allow the ordered goods to be produced based on the plan;
• and
• generate an outbound delivery request defined by a planning product requirement specification object, wherein the ordered goods are delivered to the sales order requester based on the delivery request.
