Abstract
Methods of reducing 15-F2t-IsoP levels in mammalian subjects are disclosed herein. In addition, methods of reducing or preventing oxidative stress and treating or preventing related diseases are disclosed.
Claims24
A method of reducing levels of 15-F2t-IsoP in a mammalian subject, said method comprising administering to said mammalian subject an amount of xanthohumol sufficient to reduce levels of 15-F2t-IsoP in said mammalian subject.
A method of reducing or preventing oxidative stress in a mammalian subject, said method comprising administering to said mammalian subject an amount of xanthohumol sufficient to reduce levels of 15-F2t-IsoP in the urine of said mammalian subject by at least 10%, thereby reducing or preventing oxidative stress.
A method of treating or preventing a disease caused by oxidative stress in a mammalian subject in need thereof comprising administering to the mammalian subject an effective amount of xanthohumol.
