Abstract
A wireless communications device may include a wireless receiver for receiving a Gaussian phase shift keyed signal having a selected data symbol mapping, and a demodulator coupled to the wireless receiver for demodulating the Gaussian phase shift keyed signal using memory-less data symbol decisions based upon the selected data symbol mapping.
Claims20
A wireless communications device comprising:
- a wireless receiver for receiving a Gaussian phase shift keyed signal having a selected data symbol mapping;
- and
- a demodulator coupled to said wireless receiver for demodulating the Gaussian phase shift keyed signal using memory-less data symbol decisions based upon the selected data symbol mapping.
A wireless communications device comprising:
- a wireless receiver for receiving a Gaussian phase shift keyed signal having a selected data symbol mapping;
- and
- a block equalizer demodulator coupled to said wireless receiver for demodulating the Gaussian phase shift keyed signal using memory-less data symbol decisions based upon the selected data symbol mapping and for performing a phase state mapping constraint check on the demodulated Gaussian phase shift keyed signal.
A method for operating a wireless receiver receiving a Gaussian phase shift keyed signal having a selected data symbol mapping, the method comprising:
- demodulating the Gaussian phase shift keyed signal using memory-less data symbol decisions based upon the selected data symbol mapping.
