Abstract
A method and apparatus for providing a repeat calling service feature in a communication network are disclosed. For example, the method captures call session information between a calling endpoint and a called endpoint of a failed call due to an unavailability of required network resource. The method then receives a repeat calling service request from the calling endpoint, and processes the repeat calling service request to reestablish a call between the calling endpoint and the called endpoint.
Claims20
A method for providing a repeat calling service in a communication network, comprising:
- capturing call session information between a calling endpoint and a called endpoint of a failed call due to an unavailability of required network resource;
- receiving a repeat calling service request from said calling endpoint;
- and
- processing said repeat calling service request to reestablish a call between said calling endpoint and said called endpoint.
A computer-readable medium having stored thereon a plurality of instructions, the plurality of instructions including instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform the steps of a method for providing a repeat calling service in a communication network, comprising:
- capturing call session information between a calling endpoint and a called endpoint of a failed call due to an unavailability of required network resource;
- receiving a repeat calling service request from said calling endpoint;
- and
- processing said repeat calling service request to reestablish a call between said calling endpoint and said called endpoint.
An apparatus for providing a repeat calling service in a communication network, comprising:
- means for capturing call session information between a calling endpoint and a called endpoint of a failed call due to an unavailability of required network resource;
- means for receiving a repeat calling service request from said calling endpoint;
- and
- means for processing said repeat calling service request to reestablish a call between said calling endpoint and said called endpoint.
