Vehicle headlamp

A vehicle headlamp comprising:

• a discharge lamp, comprising:
• a light source that emits light, and
• a cap that holds the light source;
• a reflector comprising:
• a light reflecting part that reflects the light emitted from the light source, and
• a lamp holding part, which is formed contiguously with one end of the light reflecting part and which holds the cap;
• and
• a socket, which is connected to the cap and which supplies drive current to the discharge lamp, the socket comprising:
• a case that holds a specific structure disposed therein, and
• a connection portion, which is connected to the cap, and which protrudes toward the cap from an opposite surface of the case facing the cap,
• wherein a conductive member is mounted on the lamp holding part to transmit noise generated when the discharge lamp is turned on,
• wherein a conducting portion is formed on the opposite surface of the case to surround the connection portion, and
• wherein the conductive member and the conducting portion are connected to each other in a connection direction along which the cap and the connection portion are also connected to each other.
