The search unit searches for color designation information that designates specific color information and is included in the received command. The determination unit determines a type of the color information designated by the color designation information found by the search. The conversion unit converts the color designation information into information conforming to a common expression rule, based on a conversion rule that is set for each type of the color information. The output unit outputs the information obtained by the converting.
