Abstract
According to one embodiment, a shading correction circuit, which corrects for the influence of ambient light quantity shading, for input image light from three CCD sensors of R, G and B, based on a distance from the center of a screen. A shading correction circuit does not make correction for a maximum correction area which is out of a circle with a distance a from the central part of a screen, and corrects for the influence of ambient light quantity shading for a minimum correction area with a distance b from the central part of a screen, after calculating a square L2 of an address distance of each pixel of a correction object obtained by using a vertical distance and a horizontal distance from an address of the central part of a screen.
Claims9
An imaging apparatus comprising:
- triple-CCD sensors which convert input image light to an image signal by each;
- and
- a shading correction module which corrects color shading caused by the influence of ambient light quantity shading to input image light, for an image signal output from the CCD sensors whose distance from the center of a screen is farther than a predetermined distance, according to a circle with an equal distance from the center of a screen.
A method of correcting the influence of ambient light quantity shading in an imaging comprising:
- defining a circle with an equal distance from the center of a screen, for an image signal output from a CCD sensor whose distance from the center of a screen is farther than a predetermined distance;
- and
- making no correction for a maximum correction area which is out of a circle with a distance a from the central part of a screen, and setting a correction amount by (L2−a2)−(b2−a2)×(64−Size)/64, for a minimum correction area with a distance b from the central part of a screen, after calculating a square L2 of an address distance of each pixel of a correction object obtained by using a vertical distance and a horizontal distance from an address of the central part of a screen.
An imaging method comprising:
- defining first and second circles with different distances from the center of a screen, for an imaging signal in an area whose distance from the center of a screen is farther than a predetermined distance, for each imaging signal output from three CCD sensors or CMOS sensors;
- eliminating correction for a circle whose distance from the center of a screen is small;
- and
- correcting ambient light quantity shading and color shading for a correction object area defined by changing the distance from the center of a screen in the first and second circles.
