Abstract

An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging device that images an object image through an optical system; an image signal processing section having a function of combining a plurality of imaged images into a combined image piece using a given initial value, the imaged images being obtained while the imaging apparatus is moved; a position sensor capable of obtaining the position information of the imaging apparatus; a controller that processes the information of the position sensor to perform collaborative control based on the processing results and processing the results of the image signal processing section, wherein the image signal processing section obtains the relative positional relationship of the images via image recognition; and the controller obtains the positional relationship of the images, specifies the absolute positional relationship of the respective images, and supplies the absolute positional relationship to the image signal processing section as the initial value.

Dependent claims

An imaging apparatus comprising:

an imaging device that images an object image through an optical system;
an image signal processing section having a function of combining a plurality of imaged images into a combined image piece using a given initial value, the imaged images being obtained while the imaging apparatus is moved;
a position sensor capable of obtaining the position information of the imaging apparatus;
a controller that processes the information of the position sensor to perform collaborative control based on the processing results and processing the results of the image signal processing section, wherein
the image signal processing section obtains the relative positional relationship of the images via image recognition;
and,
the controller obtains the positional relationship of the images based on the detection information of the position sensor, specifies the absolute positional relationship of the respective images based on the obtained positional relationship and the relative positional relationship obtained by the image signal processing section, and supplies the absolute positional relationship to the image signal processing section as the initial value.

An imaging method comprising the steps of:

imaging an object image using an imaging device through an optical system having an optical axis changing element that is capable of changing an optical axis thereof while moving the imaging apparatus;
obtaining the relative positional relationship of the images by performing image recognition of the imaged images;
obtaining the positional relationship of the images based on the detection information of a position sensor;
specifying the absolute positional relationship of the respective images based on the obtained positional relationship and the relative positional relationship obtained via the image recognition;
and
combining a plurality of imaged images into a combined image piece using the absolute positional relationship as an initial value, the imaged images being obtained while the imaging apparatus is moved.
