Bearing device, spindle motor and disk drive apparatus

A bearing device comprising:

• a shaft arranged to extend along a central axis, the shaft including a convex portion having a curved surface provided at a first axial end thereof;
• a substantially cylindrical sleeve including an inner circumferential surface opposed to an outer circumferential surface of the shaft;
• and
• a thrust plate including a concave portion having a curved surface and arranged to make contact with the convex portion of the shaft;
• wherein
• the shaft is supported by the sleeve and the thrust plate such that the shaft can rotate about the central axis with respect to the sleeve and the thrust plate;
• a curvature radius of the concave portion is greater than a curvature radius of the convex portion;
• and
• an entire surface of the convex portion of the shaft makes contact with the concave portion of the thrust plate such that the thrust plate flexibly receives the convex portion of the shaft.
