Abstract
A population of nanowires can be prepared by a method involving electric field catalyzed growth and alteration based on surface charge density.
Claims20
A method of producing nanowires comprising:
- contacting two electrodes with a reactant solution;
- and
- applying an electric field across the two electrodes, at least one electrode including a catalyst.
An apparatus for producing nanowire comprising:
- a reaction vessel;
- two electrodes positioned within the vessel;
- a catalyst on at least one electrode;
- a reactant solution delivery port configured to introduce a reactant solution into the vessel;
- and
- a voltage control device connected to the electrodes.
3 more elements
A device including a nanowire produced by applying an electric field across the two electrodes in contact with a reactant solution.
A method of producing a device including a nanowire comprising:
- applying an electric field to a reaction solution to create a nanowire;
- and
- incorporating the nanowire in the device.
