Abstract
A drive unit includes a gearset alternately producing forward and reverse drive, an inter-axle differential dividing torque at an output of the gearset between first and second wheel sets, and an inter-wheel differential dividing torque transmitted to the first wheel set differentially between wheels comprising the first wheel set.

A drive unit , comprising:
- a gearset alternately producing forward and reverse drive;
- an interaxle differential dividing torque at an output of the gearset between first and second wheelsets;
- and
- an interwheel differential dividing torque transmitted to the first wheel set differentially between wheels comprising the first wheelset.

- a simple planetary gearset alternately producing forward and reverse drive;
- a simple planetary interaxle differential dividing torque at an output of the gearset between first and second wheelsets;
- and
- an interwheel differential including meshing bevel pinion and gears for dividing torque transmitted to the first wheel set differentially between left and right wheels of the first wheelset.

- a gearset that includes a first sun gear driveably connected to a transmission output, a ring gear, a carrier;
- planet pinions supported on the carrier and meshing with the sun gear and the ring gear, and a coupler supported on the carrier for alternately driveably connecting the carrier to the first ring gear and holding the carrier against rotation;
- an interaxle differential that includes a second sun gear, a second ring gear, a second carrier driveably connected to the ring gear, second planet pinions supported on the second carrier and meshing with the second sun gear and the second ring gear;

- an interwheel differential driveably connected to one of the second ring gear and the second sun gear for dividing torque transmitted to the first wheel set differentially between wheels comprising the first wheelset.
