Abstract
There is provided an apparatus 2 for generating electrical charge from a motive power source 3. The apparatus 2 comprises an alternator 3a and a worm drive assembly 4 connectable to the motive power source 3. The worm drive assembly 4 comprises a drive shaft 14 a worm gear 20; and, a worm wheel 32 configured so as to mesh with the worm gear 20 and as is further arranged so as to be operatively associated with the alternator 3a. During use, rotation of the drive shaft 14 by the motive power source 3 effects generation of electrical charge by the alternator 3a.
Claims8
1-21. (canceled)
An apparatus for generating electrical charge comprising:
- a dynamic or reciprocating motive power source;
- at least one alternator;
- a compound worm and worm wheel reduction assembly;
- a directional drive clutch;
- a compound sprocket and chain acceleration assembly;
- A dynamic motive power source is coupled to a compound worm and worm wheel reduction assembly, the worm drive shaft which is the final mechanical drive for further assembly, has a deposited worm wheel which is combined with a worm shaft, to operate another deposited worm wheel combined with a drive shaft having a directional clutch drive coupled.
- This compound reduction assembly is attached to a compound sprocket and chain acceleration assembly, and is operatively associated with at least one alternator.
- Wherein:
- during use, a dynamic motive power source requires minimal effort for a greater load, with the rotation being a constant or variable speed which may exceed the input speed, and is operatively associated with at least one alternator for the generation of electrical charge.
As an engine comprising:
- a dynamic or reciprocating motive power source;
- a dynamic or reciprocating motive power source;
- at least one alternator;
- at least one compound worm and worm wheel reduction assembly;
- a directional drive clutch;
- at least one compound sprocket and chain acceleration assembly;
- a hydraulic duel stage gear and spiral pump;
- a hydraulic control valve;
- a dynamic hydraulic motor;
- The first motive power source is coupled to a compound worm and worm wheel reduction assembly. The worm drive shaft has a deposited worm wheel combined with a worm shaft, to operate another deposited worm wheel which is combined with a drive shaft, having a directional clutch drive coupled.
- This compound reduction assembly is attached to a compound sprocket and chain acceleration assembly, and is operatively associated with least one alternator, for the constant speed required in the generation of electrical charge.
- Wherein:
- during use, the motive power source requires minimal effort, to commence rotation of the assembly for the required constant speed, which is operatively associated with at least one alternator for the generation of electrical charge.
A second motive power source is coupled to another compound worm and worm wheel reduction assembly. The worm drive shaft has a deposited worm wheel, which is combined with a worm shaft, to operate another deposited worm wheel combined with a drive shaft having a directional clutch drive coupled.
- This compound reduction assembly is attached to a compound sprocket and chain acceleration assembly, and is operatively associated with a hydraulic gear and spiral vane pump, for a constant speed.
- Wherein:
- during use, the motive power source with the assembly is operatively associated with the hydraulic gear and spiral vane pump, which requires minimal effort to maintain the torque, required for a constant speed and fluid transfer.
An apparatus according to claims 22 to 28 wherein the assembly may have applications in fix plant or the mobile industries, with a mobile application the assembly requires at least two batteries as a source of power for a closed circuit. This assembly has an exceptionally high efficiency rating and greater output. Mobile or fix plant industries eg.
